Magnetic Screen Door

Works great only thing i ran into was that I needed to use stronger 3M tape. Pets come in and out like a doggy door and it closes by itself! I’ve had it for 2 years now and is holding up great except for the pets scratching at the bottom when the door is closed, I’m sure it would’ve held up longer!

Everything you need to install this door screen from Coverwith comes in the package. It is easy to install. The instructions are on the back of the box. They instructions are clearly written and easy to understand. The screen is a nice thick weight and should not tear under normal use. There are plenty of magnets along the opening, so it quickly closes after each pass through. There are 2 weights at the bottom – one on each side of the opening to help weigh the bottom of the screen down. This will work great during the summer to keep the bugs out and let the air in. Well made with a solid, no flimsy feel. My only advise is the measure your doors before ordering to make sure you purchase correct size for your needs.

This is a great product. Easy to put together, clear instruction, and easy to attach to walls. I have been using it for a few months now and had no problem with it. Still attached to walls, no slips, and the magnetic works great. I have it all the way to the floor to make sure no flies come in from beneath. Since I had the screen installed, I had no problems with bugs or flies getting into my apartment and I am able to enjoy the fresh air. I am moving to a bigger place soon and I plan to purchase a bigger one.

I appreciated the several reviews mentioning how the magnets slipped out of place and how they are annoyingly visible in this white screen. Also appreciated that the majority of reviewers said that it worked well and was of higher quality than some others they tried, so I decided to buy it. I find it works very well. When the bottom doesn’t close completely, I tug up a little on the middle Velcro tab, and it assists with the closing. I sewed a couple stitches beneath the magnets to keep them aligned, and then used gaffer tape on the vinyl pocket enclosing the magnets to hide the magnets - see photo - the top has no gaffer tape, and the bottom half does.

The package I just received, is missing the hook sticky tape (Velcro) that attaches to the door frame. Luckily I was able to cleanly remove the old screen and use the existing hook tape.
NOTES to help installation:
1. Attach the hook tape to the fuzzy loop side of the screen, across the top and down the sides leaving the tacky part of the tape covered.
2. Peel back 1 to 2 inches of paper from the top corner of the sticky tape. Hold that top corner to the top of your door frame. Use a tack to hold the screen in place.
3. Peel back 1 to 2 inches of paper from the other corner of the sticky tape. Hold the other corner to the top of the other side of the door frame. Use a tack to hold it in place. The screen should now be supported by the two tacks.
4. Moving from where you started to the center, peel off the paper and stick the screen to the door frame. When you get near the center, stop.
5. Moving from the other corner, peel off the paper and stick the screen to the door frame. Once you reach the center, if you have left over screen, bunch it together so it lines up with the magnetic opening.
6. Peel off the left and right sides, connecting the screen to the door.
7. Place tacks in all 4 corners and center of the screen to help secure the screen.
