Product Details & FAQ
A custom magnetic screen door made to your exact size for your doorway measurements. Built to your measurements for patio, sliding, French, garage, and RV doorways: a magnetic closure that snaps shut behind you, fine mesh that stops mosquitoes and lets the breeze in, and a no-drill installation.
Is this the right screen for your door?
Best for:
- Patio sliding doors
- French double doors
- Garage openings within the calculator’s supported dimensions
- RV / camper doors with non-standard sizes
- Front and back entry doors
Not the right fit for:
- Window openings
- Doors with no flat surrounding frame for adhesive mounting
- Outdoor frames that stay wet for long periods — adhesive holds less well on constantly damp surfaces
Three steps from your doorway to your door
- Measure — width × height of the outer door frame, edge to edge. Our guide shows you exactly where to put the tape.
- Enter your exact size — type your numbers in inches and pick your mesh color. The price updates from the exact dimensions you enter. We build to your numbers, not a "close enough" stock size.
- We make it and ship it — made to order in 3–5 business days, then free US shipping.

We make it after you order it
Every screen is cut to your doorway once you order — so there's no warehouse of unsold stock, and no offcuts from forcing a standard size to fit. You get a screen that fits, and nothing gets made just to sit in a landfill.
Closes itself. Every time.
Heavy-duty magnets run the full length of the center seam, top to bottom. Walk through with your arms full and the screen snaps shut behind you. The closure stays aligned in a breeze and reseats cleanly after pets push through.
Tight enough for mosquitoes. Open enough for the breeze.
The mesh is woven tight enough to keep mosquitoes, gnats, and house flies out, while staying open enough to let air move through and still see the yard. Light comes through; the draft you're missing with the door shut comes with it.
Made for households with paws
A reinforced mesh weave stands up to claws better than a standard polyester screen, and double-stitched edges keep the seams from pulling apart when your dog decides the entry is a self-opening door. The magnetic seal lets pets in and out without leaving the door propped open. For heavy-duty pet use, see the Custom Pet-Proof Magnetic Screen Door — same custom-fit sizing, heavier mesh.
No drills. No tools.
What's in the box:
- Magnetic screen, made to your size
- Industrial hook-and-loop tape (loop side pre-applied; hook side mounts to your door frame)
- Pushpins (optional reinforcement for fabric or stucco frames)
- Step-by-step instructions
How it works:
- Wipe the door frame clean and dry.
- Peel and stick the hook-side tape around the inside of the frame.
- Press the screen onto the tape, starting at the top corners.
- Center the magnets so they meet down the middle.
Frame note: the adhesive needs a flat, clean, dry surface. Painted wood, vinyl, and aluminum work well. Brick, stucco, and textured surfaces use the included pushpins.
What it's made of
- Mesh: tight-weave polyester, sized to block common biting insects (mosquitoes, gnats, house flies) while keeping airflow open.
- Edge binding: double-stitched polyester webbing.
- Magnets: continuous magnetic strips along the opening.
- Tape: industrial hook-and-loop with adhesive backing.

Custom-made, but not a gamble
Because each screen is cut to your size, we can't resell a returned one — so we do the work up front to get it right. Send us your measurements or a photo of your doorway and we'll confirm the fit before we cut.
- Manufacturing defect, transit damage, or wrong size shipped — free replacement. Most cases we just remake it, no return to mail back.
- A measurement mistake on your end — because it's cut to your numbers, we can't take it back for fit. That's exactly why we'll check your measurements before we cut — send a photo.
- Changed your mind before we start — email within 24 hours of ordering and we'll cancel for a full refund.
It's a made-to-order product — treat it like a tailored item, not an off-the-shelf one.
Questions before you order
How do I measure my doorway?
Measure the outer door frame — width edge to edge, height top to floor. Take three measurements each way and use the largest. Step-by-step guide →
Can I return it if it doesn't fit?
We check your fit before cutting; sizing returns aren't accepted, but manufacturing defects are replaced free. Send a photo before production if unsure.
Will the adhesive hold on my frame?
Wood, vinyl, and aluminum: yes. Brick, stucco, or textured surfaces: use the included pushpins.
Can my pet push through it?
Yes — the magnetic seal opens with light pressure and snaps shut behind them.
Does it actually stop mosquitoes?
The mesh is sized to block common US biting insects.
What's the maximum size?
Enter your dimensions in the calculator to check the supported size. For unusually large openings, email us before ordering.
What if the tape or a magnet fails later?
Email us and we'll send replacement parts. Spare tape and tacks are in our Accessories collection.
Does it block light or airflow?
Light passes through; airflow is close to a fully open door.

How to Measure
How to Measure
Measure the flat frame where your screen will attach—not the door panel or glass. Enter your measurements in inches.

Width: Measure from the left mounting edge to the right mounting edge, as shown.
Height: Measure from the top mounting edge to the floor or threshold where the screen should end.
French doors: To cover both doors, measure across the full frame as one area.

Choose how much of the doorway you want to cover:
Full frame: Measure between the outer left and right mounting edges.
Opening side only: Measure from the center mounting edge to the outer edge on the opening side. The center surface must be flat, secure, and clear of the moving door.
Height: Measure from the top mounting edge to the floor or threshold.
The example opens on the right. For a left-side opening, use the same method on the left.
Measure width at the top, middle, and bottom, and height at the left, center, and right of your chosen area. If the measurements differ, send us all readings and a photo before ordering.
For garage, RV, curved, or narrow frames, email a photo showing the mounting surfaces and your tape measure.

Works on most door frames

Tight enough for mosquitoes. Open enough for the breeze.
The mesh keeps mosquitoes, gnats, and house flies out while letting air move through — light comes in, and so does the draft you're missing with the door shut.

Great Product
Amazed that it actually works great! We have three LARGE dogs and finding screens for our out swing french doors that they would not kill going in and out was hard...to say the least. We hung two sets yesterday and the boys are adjusting well...even when a squirrel runs across the fence!

Exceeds expectations
This is the best magnetic screen I've bought yet... it holds up against my 2 dogs beating it up and all the people that just come through.

Love my screen!
For the money this works very well. Came with everything needed for a quick install. It closes quickly and keeps the flies outside.
Everything you need to install this door screen from Coverwith comes in the package. It is easy to install. The instructions are on the back of the box. They instructions are clearly written and easy to understand. The screen is a nice thick weight and should not tear under normal use. There are plenty of magnets along the opening, so it quickly closes after each pass through. There are 2 weights at the bottom – one on each side of the opening to help weigh the bottom of the screen down. This will work great during the summer to keep the bugs out and let the air in. Well made with a solid, no flimsy feel. My only advise is the measure your doors before ordering to make sure you purchase correct size for your needs.
This is a great product. Easy to put together, clear instruction, and easy to attach to walls. I have been using it for a few months now and had no problem with it. Still attached to walls, no slips, and the magnetic works great. I have it all the way to the floor to make sure no flies come in from beneath. Since I had the screen installed, I had no problems with bugs or flies getting into my apartment and I am able to enjoy the fresh air. I am moving to a bigger place soon and I plan to purchase a bigger one.
I appreciated the several reviews mentioning how the magnets slipped out of place and how they are annoyingly visible in this white screen. Also appreciated that the majority of reviewers said that it worked well and was of higher quality than some others they tried, so I decided to buy it. I find it works very well. When the bottom doesn’t close completely, I tug up a little on the middle Velcro tab, and it assists with the closing. I sewed a couple stitches beneath the magnets to keep them aligned, and then used gaffer tape on the vinyl pocket enclosing the magnets to hide the magnets - see photo - the top has no gaffer tape, and the bottom half does.
The package I just received, is missing the hook sticky tape (Velcro) that attaches to the door frame. Luckily I was able to cleanly remove the old screen and use the existing hook tape.
NOTES to help installation:
1. Attach the hook tape to the fuzzy loop side of the screen, across the top and down the sides leaving the tacky part of the tape covered.
2. Peel back 1 to 2 inches of paper from the top corner of the sticky tape. Hold that top corner to the top of your door frame. Use a tack to hold the screen in place.
3. Peel back 1 to 2 inches of paper from the other corner of the sticky tape. Hold the other corner to the top of the other side of the door frame. Use a tack to hold it in place. The screen should now be supported by the two tacks.
4. Moving from where you started to the center, peel off the paper and stick the screen to the door frame. When you get near the center, stop.
5. Moving from the other corner, peel off the paper and stick the screen to the door frame. Once you reach the center, if you have left over screen, bunch it together so it lines up with the magnetic opening.
6. Peel off the left and right sides, connecting the screen to the door.
7. Place tacks in all 4 corners and center of the screen to help secure the screen.
The magnetic screen came well packaged with clear instructions in multiple languages (including English LOL). It came with enough adhesive velcro with even a little left over in case of mistakes I guess. There were also some cute white-headed tacks but I didn't end up needing them. Each side comes with 2 velcro tabs, 1 in the middle and 1 at the bottom. I assume this is to help keep them closed on windy days maybe? I like the one at the bottom because my chihuahua can push her way out of the magnets and velcro tab at the bottom stays together. Without that tab, I think the length is just a tiny bit too long to make the magnets easily go back together at the very bottom bugs in. The only reason I took a star off is because within 4-5 times passing through the screen, the long magnets started sliding around in the seam, therefore, not meeting it's mate on the opposite panel and not closing properly. I had to slide the magnets back into place in the problem panel and then put a few stitches under the bottom 4 magnets so far. With more use, I can see that I may have to do this with all of the panels to keep the magnets in the correct place so they continue to meet. Otherwise, I think it looks great, was easy to put up and was a good deal. Perfect the warmer days ahead!
